Towing Issues: missing vehicle from tow company, chp officer, collision report

I was in a car accident earlier this morning.  The CHP officer gave me a Collision Report Information form with the name and number of a tow company: Haddick's 626-330-3289 but Haddick's has does not a record of receving my vehicle, a Charcoal, 2003 Ford Mustang.

How do I go about finding out where my car was towed to?

Well if the police report says it went there, then it should be there according to California law... Did you call them or actually go there ??

I would make a trip to the office and bring the paperwork you have with you... Ask to see the vehicle and if they do not have it, try to see if they will let you go into the yard (with escort) and physically go look for it...

If they say no or you do not find the vehicle then, do not leave and call the police to make a stolen vehicle report.. After all the CHP says its supposed to be there...   

Be sure to also document who you talk to and when you talk to them... Remember paperwork is one big thing to have when dealing with towing problems...  Keep notes on everything..
