Towing Issues: Fire Lane Towing, rancho cucamonga california, fire lane

Question
Hi Richard, I live in Alta Loma, California also known as Rancho Cucamonga California. I recently moved into a condo here and found out my husbands 4 door chevy did not fit into our garage. He had been parking it parallel to the garage in the small driveway we have which happens to have a fire hydrant somewhere around 15ft from the driveway. There is clearly a sign posted that says No Parking Fire Lane, and I am assuming that is for the street, not your driveway. Well he had his truck towed from the driveway recently and I feel we have been wrongly towed, (like so many others I am sure) please give me any info you can so that I might be able to fight this and have a place to park or shut my trap and silently whine how life is unfair. Thanks for your time!

Answer
part of section  22658 the vehicle code which governs removal of vehicles from private property has this section

"(E) (i) General authorization to remove or commence removal of a vehicle at the towing company’s discretion shall not be delegated to a towing company or its affiliates except in the case of a vehicle unlawfully parked within 15 feet of a fire hydrant or in a fire lane, or in a manner which interferes with ( )8 an entrance to, or exit from, the private property."

I think you might of be in the area where it's illegal to park there...
