Towing Issues: towing yard, storage fees, towing companies

Question
so for example i have a cheap car that got into an accident, and to tace it out from the towyard is more expensive than the car's value, so can i just leave the car at the towyard???? or they can take me to court???

Answer
Well, lets see...

First of all towing companies are private businesses not taxpayer supported and as such if they do not make money they go broke...

With that said, YES you are responsible as the owner of the vehicle for any and all towing and storage fees owed along with other fees for legal papers to dispose of the vehicle.
Then when they sell the vehicle to whoever be it a junk yard or a person, the fee collected from that sale are deducted from the towing and storage fees at the date of the sale.

The balance owed is usually turned over to a collection agency because a lot of people leave the vehicles for the same reasons you mentioned...Yes they sometimes go to court for fees also.

So to answer your question, I would suggest you talk to the towing company quickly (remember the fees go up daily) and see what you can work out with them...
