Towing Issues: Tailer wiring, trailer wiring diagram, hot wire

Don,  The wiring pulled on my trailer pulled out of the plug and I can't figure what goes where.  The car side is wired with a 7 way plug as is the trailer.  The trailer however has only the white,yellow,green, and brown typical of a 4 way plug.  Matching these colors to the same on the 7 way car side did not work right.  If this is the correct way of wiring this, then is it another problem with my lights<  Thanks, Tom

You will probably have to do a little experimenting with the wires on your trailer to see which is which.  Just fine a hot wire from your 7-way and make a jumper and test with each wire to see which does which.
