Towing Issues: towing charges, storage charges, tow companies

I just read another one of your answers about towing charges and I just want to see what you think about these.

Towed at 1900 hours, retrieved from the towing place at 2028, so basically a matter of 1 1/2 hours.  we were charged
1 day of storage $35.00
tow charge 1 hour $145.00
after hours $70  (saturday)

Does this sound resonable or should we look further into it.  Thanks for your time.

Well, the fee's sound reasonable, but I know that a few tow companies will waive the storage if picked up within a few hours of arrival, but there usually is nothing that says they have to do such when dealing with private property tow away...

Some contracts with cities for police towing say that there is a grace period for storage charges but that usually applies to only police ordered tows, but some companies do apply it across the board so that its not so confusing..

The after hours fee is also reasonable as its usually 1/2 of the normal base rate for the tow.
