Towing Issues: Towing my 04 4Runner, toyota 4runner, 2004 toyota 4runner

I'm moving in June and am trying to find a way to tow my 2004 Toyota 4Runner behind my 16 foot moving truck.  Most companies say it's not allowable using their equipment.  Do you have any recommendations on how to go about towing my car from Dallas,Texas to Berkeley, California?

My guess is the companies don't want you flat towing a car.  So why not just use a dolly or a regular trailer?  Make sure you have a truck with enough power to haul everything, the rental company should cover that, but you should double check them!
