Towing Issues: was i parked illegally?, small claims court, chase bank

Question
Fort Worth, Texas... On may 5th I went to go celebrate my 21st b-day party and I had to meet up with my friends at a chase bank so that they could drive because I was going to be drinking that night. I pulled in on the right hand side of the building and noticed that they had posted signs saying "no parking past business hours" I pulled all the way around the building until I could no longer see the signs. There was absolutely NO signs within my view of the parking space! The one sign that was posted on the left side was facing the total opposite direction! Was I illegally parked?

Answer
This section is for issues dealing with towing travel or other trailers, not for tow trucks etc.

I suggest you check out the legal issues section of this site.

But, I will say that chances are the bank intended the signs to apply to their entire property after hours.  But a good attorney might be able to make enough of a case for you to get some relief.

Contact an attorney that will listen to your case without a fee and give an opinion.  Then find out if his fee is more than you might save.  Depending on the costs, you might be in small claims court.

If you do decide to fight this, you will want lots of really good pictures of the signs, property and where you were parked, and some way to prove what you say (were there others with you?  Even so if they are all your friends, they won't carry a lot of weight in court).
