Towing Issues: Did I park illegally?, 21st birthday party, speed limit signs

Question
I recently had my 21st birthday party and I had to meet up with some friends at a bank and ride with them because I new I was going to be too intoxicated to drive home. I pulled into the bank on the right hand side facing the building. On the right hand side of the building there were signs saying no parking after business hours. I pulled all the way around the building until I could no longer see andy signs. There was absolutely NO signs within my view. I was towed and it was after business hours. Was I wrong if there was no signs within my view of the specific parking space?

Answer
Well first of all congratulations on being smart enough to know not to drink and drive..

OK on to the question...  In most areas, the laws regarding posting and wording of signs regarding tow away, vary from City to City or state to state...  BUT most all of them have the basic requirement that at least one sign be posted at each entrance to the parking lot in order to be legal...

But traveling though the lot to where there are no signs at all, or in 1 space is not going to help you in defense of the illegal parking issue... Example is the speed limit signs, they are on each block in your town are they... We know that they imply a legal standing even if they are 1 block apart or 5 miles apart on the highways...

Signage also does not have to be in different languages beyond the basic English ones, sure there are some places which have posted signs in both English and Spanish... Do we need one for each language ?

This is going to be one of your life lessons about vehicle parking, and yeah it cost money but look at it this way, better to learn early than to keep doing stupid stuff and spending the money over and over and over (I could tell you about one  University of Oregon student who we towed 3 times in one week from the same parking lot.)
