Towing Issues: 1990 nissan maxima illegal towing?, nissan maxima, tow company

I had my car towed the other day from a church parking lot.  My question is would i have a case if the church has not posted any signs on or around thier building stating that you could not park there.  Also they did not come talk to me about the car and I live right in front of the church.  Also can a tow company tow a vehicle if the vehicle is city property?

well first of all its hard to answer the question about the signs without knowing what city or state you are in.. Several areas have no requirements for signs while some cities have very specific rules about them..

Now, as to the church or the towing company trying to find you and ask you to move the vehicle...Yes that would seem to be a courtesy, but sadly that is fast fading in todays lifestyles..  Now I am not sure why you were parked in the church parking lot, (no parking at your house or apartment or is it more convenient to park there??)

As to the tow company towing from city property, I am lost here.. Usually the City Police will come and have the tow authorized and call for the towing company to perform the service under contact with the Police..
