Answer
Your owners manual should have all the information you need.

Edmunds.com site says 2WD V8 short bed has a towing capacity of 6800.  If you have 4WD or other options, that may go up or down.

GVWR = Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.  That is the weight of the vehicle plus any weight you can put on the suspension, it does NOT indicate towing capacity, because that isn't all on the suspension.  YOU figure the tongue weight for that.  Usually proper tongue weight is about 10% maximum of the total trailer and contents if you are using a load equalizing class IV hitch. (be sure to add luggage, water, food etc if pulling a travel trailer.)

The Toyota site isn't much help because they don't list 06 specifications and the 07 Tundra is a much different vehicle.

See if you can find an 06 towing brochure from your Toyota dealer.  It should have the towing capacity for any configuration.  A call to a good travel trailer sales business should also give you what you need.
