Towing Issues: Lexus SC430 dolly tow, lexus sc430, nylon rope

I also need to tow an SC430 with a dolly, all my questions were already answered except the last answer. I understand you must lock the wheel in place with a rope but you would leave it in Park and pull the key out as well?

Ok  if its loaded with the rear drive wheels on the tow dolly, then yes  it should be in park, and key out of the vehicle.  The rope is a secondary securement method.  Basic way to use it is to use some 1/4 inch nylon rope about 6 feet long.   Double it and then loop it around the steering wheel closest to the door and then run it out though the door jamb.  Shut the door and pull it tight and tie a knot or 2 in the rope closest to the door as you can get.    its just a safety incase something goes wrong.

It usually works for when we are towing vehicles with tow trucks as a safety.
