Towing Issues: Parking near a house, texas drivers license, stop signs

Question
Hi,

I have a parking issue that I need to figure out soon. I live in Texas and I am still in high school and without a parking pass. Just recently I have started to park in a residential area near a house. I park on the side of the street with the Stop Sign but park far enough away to not impede traffic at the 'T-intersection'. As I was exiting my car to head for school, a woman pulled up(who I assume lives in this subdivision) and threatened me, saying that "Your car will be towed if you park it right there." and sped off. I don't know if this was the owner of the house or what. I was also not obstructing any driveways. I really don't want my car to be towed and was wondering if you could tell me what I can and can not do as to parking there.

Thanks!

Answer
Well  welcome to the wonderful world of driving and parking..

First of all, the Texas drivers license book has all the rules on how close you can park to intersections and stop signs. (each state is a bit differant)

Now some people who might live in the area might not like students parking in the residential area and as such report you for parking there.  If you are not allowed then you might get towed.

I would go and check out what it takes to get a parking pass as that would be the best all round answer I can give you.
Be careful and park legally is best advice.
