Towing Issues: vehicle towing, question pool, tow trucks

Question
I live in a senior complex, we received a notice at 11.00a.m. that we had to move our vehicles by 7:00 the next morning.  Some people did not received notices.  They had 2 tow trucks towing vehicles as fast as they could.  People did not know where their cars or trucks were and some could not walk to look.  Is this legal  This is the Country village apts in Mira Loma.  Thank you in advance  Betty Boyer

Answer
Betty, sorry for the delay in answering, as I did not know there was a question pool. But I am doing my best to clear out the questions from others..

OK, I understand the question here as concerning notices to move vehicles (maybe due to construction or paving or something like that)..  I hope that they just relocated vehicles in the complex (which usually happens)...

Now I know that some people would like more notice, but it sounds like they did what they could do to notify the tenants...

Yes, it appears to be legal, but then if they relocated the vehicles on property at no cost to the vehicle owner they broke no rules at all... If they were towed to the towing company and fees were charged then they might of had issues with some laws... But they also did provide notice, which even if the tenant did not read or see it, it follows the intent of law...

Hope the issue has been resolved, and that everyone found their vehicles.
