Answer
The Wrangler is towable four-down without modification.  Put the transfer case in neutral.

I personally sell Demco, Roadmaster and Blue-Ox brand tow bars and baseplates.  They are all good in their own respects.  I think the Blue Ox is ~generally~ the beefiest, while the Demco is the best bang for the buck and the RoadMaster is usually cheapest (to buy).

I would do the research for your particular fit and talk to someone in the field to get their views.  That being said, talking to the end users at campgrounds is by far the best way to get feedback about the products.  Keep in mind, the users may not be the best informed about all aspects.  Some may have complaints not knowing that they've been using the product the wrong way.  Take all comments with a grain of salt.

Finally, don't buy from the cheapest supplier because they're the cheapest.  There is usually a reason for the lower prices.  You may be talking to a laborer they hired to work the sales floor, instead of a towbar professional.
