Toyota Repair: 04 toyota seqoia back door

I have a 2004 Sequoia with back door problems. The cable is frayed and the latch assembly broke so we are not able to get the back door open to replace the handle, cable and assembly?

Hello, the door can be opened by first removing the plastic piece that is still attaches, just break it off, looking inside the opening you will see the metal release tab, use a screwdriver and push the release tab down, make sure the door is unlocked, this should open the door.
