Toyota Repair: Scion

Question
I turned the selector knob to change air flow from dash to defrost and the inside must have broken loose. Now all the air comes from the bottom and cannot change it. Is there an easy way to snap off the panel to see if it can be reconnected. Its a 2008 Scion xd

Hello, check the cables that come from the control panel to the air ducting below the dash in the center on the left and right side, see if any of the cables have become detached from the control levers, if not then the control panel is the problem. There is really no easy way to remove it, the radio and the surrounding plastic trim pieces have to be removed.
