Toyota Repair: 05 avalon timing chain cover leak

I'v read some people talking about removing the engine,found one for sale with same leak.any idea how much oil leaks out in 3000 miles

Hello, to remove the timing cover the engine has to be removed, why would you want to replace the engine if the oil leak can be fixed? There is a known oil leak at the VVTi oil pressure hose near the front of the engine at the top which can be replaced in about an hour, there was a service bulletin from Toyota for this, have you checked to make sure this oil hose is not leaking?
