Toyota Repair: low idle

07 Tacoma 2.7 litre, after changing battery truck has rough idle (about 400 or 500 rpm. Battery was disconnected about 20 minutes. Thanks, Rich

Hello, not an unusual problem and easy to fix, just remove the negative battery terminal, remove the intake hose from the throttle body, use a can of intake air cleaner or throttle body cleaner from any auto part store and a nylon brush and clean out all the carbon from the inside of the throttle body, reconnect evertyhing and then drive it for about 20 minutes under normal conditions, the idle should reset to factory default.
