Toyota Repair: Toyota Corolla Centre Console, toyota corolla t spirit, corolla t spirit

Toyota Corolla T-spirit 1.6 Manual(2003)63,000 miles:
A penny was dropped down the hole for the cigarette lighter and this seems to have fused the whole of the centre console. The radio, the clock, the heater, rear windscreen etc are all out of action.

Has the centre console fused? If so, what do I do?

Hello, first of all there are probably a few blown fuses, try to remove the coin first and check the condition of the contacts in the socket, check the fuses on the inside fuse panel, especially the "cig lighter, gauge, power outle, dome" etc, replace fuses as necessary and if the lighter is shorted and causes the fuses to blow it will need to be disconnected or replaced.
