Toyota Repair: 2010 camry accelerator, camry xle, repair history

Question
I just bought a 2010 Camry XLE with 34000 miles on and I checked on Edmunds and also recieved a CarFAx report from the dealer with no mention of the reconditioned accelerator.  No mention of it
was told to me from the salesman.  When I got back to see a mechanic regarding the heated seat malfunction , I asked him to check the accelerator and his computer screen said it was a recall and had been fixed and corrected.  Can I believe that this car is now safe to drive.  Why did Carfax not have that on the report.  The mechanic said he could not give me a printout of this report because it was confidential.  The car was leased twice and otherwise is in great condition.  What is your opinion on Toyota fixing the accelerataor and is it safe to drive.

Answer
The report is not confidential and you are entitled to a printout. I would recommend going to the Toyota dealer and ask for a national repair history report using the car's VIN,if the accelerator recall applied and was either done or not will show up on this report.
