Toyota Repair: shifting problems, toyota 4x4 pickup, clutch master

1986 toyota 4x4 pickup 5 speed wont go into first gear without going into second then up into first to go inot third i have to jam from second to third also grinds going into reverse. any ideas?

Check the clutch hydraulic fluid, if low then check for a leak at either the clutch master or slave cylinder. If no leak have someone depress the clutch peadal and make sure the slave cylinder rod moves about 1 and 1/2 inches to engage the clutch, if none of those are determined to be the problem then the problem is the clutch which may need to be replaced/
