Toyota Repair: rocker arm wobble on 22RE, plastic spacers, move side

Question
Hey Ted. 1985 SR5 PU 2WD Auto PS PB AC with 95,000 miles. Engine compression is 180 psi in all but #3, it is 160 but 180 after a shot of oil. I bought this truck 5 years ago out of state and kept it there for work. Its here at home now, where I can work on it. Anyways....the problem. Its always made a tic tic at the top end, and I thought the valves were out of adjustment. Well they are now  adjusted  but the tic tic is still there. At TDC four of the rocker arms, three intake and one exhaust move side to side a bit on there shafts. I have not taken them apart, and from what I can tell the cam and the contact pads on the arms are good.  OK......my question. How much needs to be replaced to get rid of the noise? Thank You.......Rick

Answer
Check the top of all the valve stems, they have to be flat, if they are dimpled they will make noise, it the ends of the valve stems have this condition remove the rocker arm assembly makle sure the plastic spacers are not worn and if so contact the toyota dealer they should still have the updated metal spacers which are real easy to install.
