Toyota Repair: intermittent no crank, neutral safety switch, toyota runner

Question
Hey Ted, I'm working on a buddies 88 Toyota runner (3.0v6, auto trans, 198,000 miles#. Its having an intermittent no crank issue after its heated up and a brief hot soak. It will restart after it sits. Has plenty power #lights, blower, power windows etc. work). Turn key, don't hear nothing. A couple of times when it did this he had it jump started even though it had enough power and it started. He replaced the starter about a year ago. The transmission was replaced about a year and a half ago and that's when the no crank problem started occurring, I was thinking possible neutral safety switch problem because the used trans came with all the switches and harness intact and in good shape, so nothing was swapped from original. What caught my eye was your response to someone having the very same problem and you recommended adding the additional relay and you had a procedure for doing this. I'm willing to try anything at this point and open to any ideas. Thanks for your help! Mike

I'm attaching the diagram for the relay. Note that this is a very common relay you can get at the autoparts store, it's usually a headlight relay for add on lights, use heavy wire between the battery and the 30 terminal, 10 gauge if possible the other wires can be 14 gauge.
