Toyota Repair: 02 toyota camry question, blown head gasket, toyota camry

Question
Hi,I have an 02 toyota camry LE that last June died, well the repair shop said it has a blown head gasket, which didnt make sense b/c i got regular oil changes and actually got an oil change earlier that day the day it started running hot. anyway, had the computer checked on it and everything was fine when i got home. By the next day when driving home it totally killed and wouldnt crank. took it in and they said blown head gasket, overheated, etc. So rather than spending over $1K at the time, i decided just to tow it to my house for a few months until i saved the money to fix. it was always such a great car. I ended up going purchase a 2011 camry the following day. So, now my problem is this. My 02 camry that I do want to fix is in my driveway and obviously now the battery is dead b/c the alarm light is now off so I thought I could just use my key open the door(s) so I can get it towed etc. the key will not go all the way in to ANY of the doors OR even the trunk. it's the strangest thing. Any ideas as to why this is? Is there a security thing or some trick to do to open my car. I would think the auto shop that will be fixing it will have to be able to open the car to pop the hood etc to diagnose the problem. Please help. I am not even able to put the car in neutral to have it towed at this point. Have you ever heard of this before?
Thanks for any advice.

Answer
Hello, I know this is going to sound too simple but is there another key available that can be tried, it sounds like this may not be the correct key. If that's not the case the tow truck driver's usually know how to open locked doors without a key, to get it out of park just remove the small cover in front of the shifter and push the button down to shift out of park.
