Toyota Repair: fuel injection relay Avalon 2001, air control valve, fuse box

Question
The fuel injection relay in the fuse box started ticking rapidly after the engine was turned off and stayed ticking . It went off when I started the engine. It happened twice today. I have been having trouble, for some time , first thing in the morning with the engine cutting out after I turn it on. I have to keep one foot on the brake while depressing the accelerator for a while so that it does not cut out half way down the street. It acts like when the cars had chokes and the automatic choke did not kick in after turning the engine on. Are these two things connected  ? Is it dangerous to drive the car? Could the fuel cut off while driving down the highway and stop the car !!!! It has been regularly serviced but has 220,000 miles on the clock. Thank you !

Answer
Hello, the stalling and low idle is almost always a problem with the idle air control valve (IAC)valve sticking, it is located on the intake system throttle body, the usual fix for this is to remove the throttle body and then the valve and clean both using a brush and a chemical spray cleaner, removing all the carbon build up usually restores the idle to normal, the relay ticking may be related so i would take care of the idle situation first.
PLEASE DONTATE, any amount is appreciated. thank you.
