this vehicle has a knocking sound in the top end of the engine and it increase as acceleration occurs i am wondering is it a rocker arm, head gasket

It doesn't have rocker arms the camshafts contact the valves directly, the valves are adjustable using different thickness shims. An out of adjustment valve usually makes a ticking noie, a knocking noise is more serious and can be a piston or connecting rod noise.
