Toyota Repair: Camry shifting problem, 2005 toyota camry, toyota camry

Question
I am driving a 2005 Toyota Camry LE.
The check engine lights on, and I can not drive up to 35mph
Went to Autozone and got code P0746: Pressure control solenoid A performance or stuck off

Is it a problem of solenoid only or need to replace the whole transmitter? Thanks.!

First check the transmission fluid condition, does it look dark and smell burned? If so it's a good indication that there is a major transmission problem, most transmission solenoid codes are related to internal transmission parts failure because of metal particles that can clog up the solenoids, if the fluid doesn't look too bad you may want to try having the fluid flushed using a machine to do this.
