Toyota Repair: 96 camry Thin Yellow Wire, side kick panel, grey dots

Question

Wire   QUESTION: Hi,
I shot some pictures, I tried several times, but I dont know how to put the pics into this "email".

The thin yellow wire with grey dots is coming from the bottom blue plastic wiring harness located behind the drivers side kick panel.

With the harness snap lock on the bottom, the wire was located in the upper right hand corner of the harness.

Please advise.

In the meantime, I left a message on his voicemail to help me with the pics.

ANSWER: I see there are three wires top to bottom, how many are there across, is the yellow wire connected inside to a termoinal or is it just stuck in there?

Wire View #2   QUESTION: Hi,

The harness is 4x6, 24 total possible wires.

The pic previously attached shows the yellow wire w/ grey dot on the side of the harness/ wire terminal connector that IS attached.

(The other end of the wire is NOT attached which is worn w/ corrosion.)

Please find attached another pic for your review, which shows the other side of the harness that is NOT attached to the other wire terminal.

ANSWER: The wire is coming out of one connector and then it's supposed to gho to the other connector where it pulled out and is corroded, all that needs to be done is to reconncet it to that connector.

QUESTION: Thank you for the answer.

This wires conntecter has been "corroded off" on both sides.

(Both the connecter from the wire side and the pin on the backside of the wire harness socket is gone.)

There doesnt appear to be a wire that coincides with that wire on the other side of the connecting harness socket.

a. Can you kindly tell me what your wiring diagram says for the thin yellow wire with grey dot?

b. Any other suggestions based on my circumstamces?

The more I look into this the more I'm beginning to believe that this connector is a sub harness that was put in to add keyless entry/theft deterrent, Toyota did not ever use connectors with all wires the same color, can you unplug both ends of the sub harness and plug the two connectors back together like they were originally?
