Toyota Repair: Alignment off, worn shocks, camber

Question
i recently had my 2005 camry aligned when i bought new tires and my repair guy said the shocks needed replacing soon.  Can worn shocks cause the alignment to still be off?

Answer
Shocks/struts won't cause alignment specifications to be off unless they had some sort of impact that caused them to bend, they are set at the factory and are not adjustable, the only adjustment on the front and rear on the camry is toe/toe out. If the camber is off there are special adjusting kits available from the dealer but to answer your question, worn shocks can not cause alignment readings to be off.
