Toyota Repair: how to disable alarm, celica gt, light flashes

1993 Celica GT without owners manual. Just got car and alarm keeps arming itself while the hood is up. Erratic. Cannot figure out what's causing this but I need to disarm it permanently. Red light flashes and car will not start. How do I disable this alarm or disarm it each time?

Most likely this is an aftermarket alarm, look for any fuses that are wired in on the battery under the hood and also look inside under the dash for any fuses that are not factory installed and remove them if that doesn't work take it to an alrm shop to have the entire system removed, which usually requires a little rewiring but it should not be too expensive, it can be done in about 1/2 hour.
