QuestionI have an 07 Tundra SR5 V8 TRD 4x4 and I keep getting the codes P2440 and P2443 set. The truck goes into Limp mode and the dealer is telling me that the parts are $1100.00. I want to do the work myself because I can't afford to have the dealer fix it. I don't know what parts I need as far as do I need both pumps and the valve system or just one pump or just the valve. With Gas being what it is I need to save all the money I can. I have heard that you can take the pumps apart and clean them and they should work. Can I do that and if so how? I have asked Toyota for assistance with only the out of warranty answer. If you could give me a step by step on how to fix these problems as well as a tools list that would be great. I use my truck to earn a living for my family and need to be back on the road asap. Thanks for your help.

“ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P0418, P0419, P2440, P2441, P2442, P2443,
P2445, and/or P2447. This concern may be caused by water intrusion into the air injection pump
assemblies.
APPLICABLE WARRANTY
• This repair is covered under the Toyota Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 60
months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
