Toyota Repair: 1997 Toyota Camry 4cyl, coolant temp, autozones

Engine stalls when accelerating from a stop, surges at running speed, sometimes cuts out at running speed. No check engine light but Auto Zone analyzed that the coolant temp sensor was defective.

Do you have the diagnostic trouble code number from autozones, if not have it scanned again and let me know the dtc numbers. It sounds like the engine may have a misfire the first thing to do would be a complete tune up including spark plugs, plug wires and a distributor cap and rotor and the air filter. I would still like to have any code numbers to give a more complete answer.
