Toyota Repair: Hose ID, air control valve, heater hoses

Question
Hi Ted,

I live alone, have no family in driving distance, and only have one car. So when I work on my car I need to have all the parts present or else I have no way to get to an auto parts store.

I will be replacing heater hoses on my 1995 Camry 4 cyl LE and while the radiator is drained I thought I may as well replace the two water bypass hoses on the Idle Air Control Valve on the underside of the throttle body.

Do you have access to any specs so I could buy the correct sized inside diameter coolant hose before tearing down the car?

Thank You Ted!

Sincerely,

Mike

Answer
Toyota doesn't list hose diameter specs, only part numbers, you can order these hoses online at various suppliers, they come in th correct length and diameter and are form fitted, the other choice is to cut off a small piece of one of the hoses, re-attach the hose and then have the parts store match it up.
