Toyota Repair: air bag light, auto repair shops, airbag system

i have a 6 cylinder camry and my air bag light is on.  what does this mean?

It means that the airbag system has detected a malfunction, the first step would be to have a diagnostic tool connected that can access the airbag system and get the trouble codes, the toyota dealer can do this as well as some auto repair shops,I can try to help after you can give me those codes, it may be something simple or more complicated but I won't know until I have trouble code numbers. By the way, the air bags will not deploy while the light is on should there be an accident.
