Toyota Repair: 2001Sequoia Mast, antenna cable, motr

Question
I have read the posts about replacing the mast, but I don't quite understand how to remove the old one.  When I turn the radio on, the antenna goes up and I can pull the mast out, but there is a white cable that is still attached and I don't understand how to get that cable out.

If a part of the cable is broken off and still inside then you have to remove the antenna motor and take it apart to remove the broken piece, the motor can be accessed by removing the fender inner liner, the motr can be unbolted and removed but no all the way out because the antenna cable to the radio does not disconnect so the motor drive gear housing has to be opened right there to get the piece out.
