Toyota Repair: Toyota struts, reod, suspension component

Question
I saw your response about strut replacement, but I have a different problem. I have a 2002 Camry LE, 4 cyl, automatic, and in 2006 at 42K I had to replace front right (and therefore both) struts. Now at 74K my trusted Toyota mechanic, who uses Toyota parts, says the same one is shot again and leaking fluid. Struts should last 100K, so this has him stumpted as to the cause. Have you heard of any problems with Toyota replacement struts or is some other defect in the suspension. Thanks

Answer
Yes I agree they should las a lot longer than this, if they are leaking the only reason they do so is if the seals start to lose their sealing ability, not a suspension component. A small amount of oily deposits at the top where the strut piston reod comes out is considered normal.
