I hear a deep vibrating sound when I come off the gas and the tach passes back down through 3200 rpm.  The car vibrates at high speed and seems to struggle in all gears past 4000 rpm.  I pulled the trani and sent for rebuild.  The trani expert said there was some pitting on the bearings but the trani was not that bad.  I have 38k miles.  He now wants to see the flywheel and transmission mounts.  What is wrong with my car.  Please help.  Thanks.

Who diagnosed the issue to the transmission and recommended removing the transmission? Was the CEL on? It sounds more like a engine issue. DO you have oil in the water?

The front engine mounts go bad, but at 38K miles seems a little early.

With this issue you have described, you will need to have the assembled and have a experienced Porsche Tech Diagnose it.
