Toyota Repair: map sensor, worn clutch, manual tranny

Question
I have a 1992 toyota 4-runner. Just had a tranny put in because the last one was slipping. Tried to come up my driveway after picking up the truck, and the sae problem, seems like the tranny is slipping. We have a steep driveway, but all of our other cars have no problem. A friend told me that it could be the map sensor, is this true?

Answer
NO!
Is this an automatic or manual tranny?
If it is an auto you may have a bad torque convertor, loose bands, crappy install job, etc..
If it is a manual tranny you may have a worn clutch, glazed clutch plates, weak springs, etc.

Hope this helps.
