Toyota Repair: Fan belt of Toyota highlander, toyota highlander, engine coolant

Question
I just got a used 2006 Toyota highlander and i noticed that if
the i turn on the engine, the motor fan is not active until i
turn on the air condition. Why is that?

Answer
Because the condensor of the AC needs be cooled down when the AC system is working, So the fan will be on when the AC working.
The cooling fan will be also turned on when the engine coolant tempt reach 105 celsus degree. So you could try like this, after highway drive, proberly 15 - 30 min, you could find the cooling fan will working. If not, the engine temp gauge needle will not stay in the middle, keep climbing and overheating.
