Toyota Repair: 91 Toyo Previa fuel problem, sea foam, fuel rail

Question
A friend of mine put bad gas in his 91 Toyo Previa and has not been able to get it back on the road. He drained the gas tank, I brought him some sea foam with some good gas, got it started, down the road about 500 feet and it would shut down. He has put 3 new fuel filters, had it towed and the mechanic hasn't fixed it neither. Is there more than 1 fuel filter for this vehicle?

Answer
Have you checked to see if you have power to the fuel pump?  The fuse may have blown. Or the fuel pump may be faulty.
Have you checked the fuel rail pressure?  If it is too low this could indicate fuel line plugging or a bad pressure dampener.
Have you checked other fuses / relays that help control the engine (ECU, MAF sensor, etc)?
Have you checked the fuel pump suction filter?  This is a screened element attached to the bottom of the fuel filter to keep larger particles out.  This might be plugged.

Hope this helps.
