Toyota Repair: 99 Echo Solenoid E Fault, party warranty, metal particles

Question
Hi... I have a '99 Echo. The check engine light is on. My mechanic diagnosed it as a PO770 -- Shift Solenoid E Fault.

I bought a third-party warranty when I got the car.  The warranty covers Automatic Transmission internal lubricated parts (excluding electronics).

Can you tell me if this Shift Solenoid E Fault would be something that's internal and non-electronic?  Hoping I'll be covered, but don't want to ask the warranty company until I have more info.

Thanks

Answer
Most of the time the shift solenoid is not the root cause of the problem, the transmission is the problem, I would recommend having the trans oil pan removed to check for any metal particles or clutch material, this would indicate disintegration of internal components.
