Toyota Repair: unknown switches, toyota rav4, hazard light

i have a 1997 toyota rav4 with 65000 miles automatic transmission and there are two switches next to the hazard light which i dont know their purposes one says manu and the other has pwr written on them whenever i press them it displays ECTS MANU or ECTS PWR on the instrument panel. can you help me please i need to know the purpose of these switches. thank you in advance for your answer.

Toyota has not used these for a few years now, these are electronically controlled transmission switches(ECT)normally set in the NORM position, the PWR(power) setting delays shift points to let the engine rev higher in each gear providing a little faster acceleration.
