Toyota Repair: 1999 toyota solara, clutch master cylinder, toyota solara

Question
When I push the clutch its like there's no spring or no resistance which doesn't allow me to put it into gear.what exactly does that mean and how much will it cost

Answer
It sounds like there is a hydraulic leak, usually the clutch master cylinder, it's recommended that both master and slave cylinders are replaced when one or the other is leaking, to confirm this check the clutch fluid reservoir under the hood, if it's empty the there is a leak. It should cost about $600 parts and labor.
