Toyota Repair: 1990 Toyota Celica ST, fuel pressure gauge, toyota celica

Question
I recently purchased a 5 speed 1990 Toyota Celica St. I drove it for about 2 weeks and the car ran excellent. One morning I stopped and filled it up with gas, drove approx. 5 minutes down the road to work and turned it off and went inside. When I came out about 4 hours later the car would not start. When I turn the key it sounds as though its trying to start but dosent. Could you please give me a couple of suggestions that it may be.

Answer
A couple of things to check, first check to see if there is spark at the spark plug wire connectors, remove one connector and put a screwdriver in the end then have someone crank the engine while holding the srewdriver about 1/4" from ground, if there is spark the next thing would be to check to see if the timing belt didn't break, remove the distributor cap and see if the rotor turns when cranking the engine, if not the timing belt broke, check fuel pressure by connecting a fuel pressure gauge, let me know what you find.
