Toyota Repair: 2008 Toyota Prius Brake and VSC warning lights, rear wheel speed, 2008 toyota prius

Question
QUESTION: I bought a 2008 Toyota Prius and drove it for about 100 miles and Brake and VSC warning light came up in the dash. I don't know what to do next. When I start driving and the first time I press the brake the brake light and the red triangle, then after about 5 miles of driving the VSC warning light comes up. I when to the dealer and they gave me the codes that might be infected. Here are the codes: C0210, C0215, C1241, C1242, C1310, C1377, C1259, C1210, C1377, P0A85

And if any one can help, please do
Thanks

ANSWER: Her are some explanations for these codes: C0210/33,C0215/34,C1273/73,C1274/74: Rear Speed Sensor RH Circuit (2008 Prius)/
C1259/58,C1310/51: HV System Regenerative Malfunction (2008 Prius)
C1377/43: Capacitor Malfunction (2008 Prius)
P0A84,P0A85: Hybrid Battery Pack Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit Low (2008 Prius)
I would first have the right rear wheel speed sensor checked, it may need to be replaced or there may be wiring damage at the sensor, this can trigger a few of the other codes as well, after the speed sensor issue is resolved I would clear all trouble codes and see which ones come back. The P0A85 has something to do with the main battery cooling fan, I don't have any quick or easy answers for you except that you may have inherited some major problems with this. If the car hasn't been in an accident then some of these issues may still be covered under the hybrid vehicle warranty, these codes require extensive diagnosiswhich can be time consuming but I would start concentrating on the speed sensor problem and clear all codes then go from there and diagnose any additional codes that may come up. Was it bought at a Toyota dealer, used car lot or private party? How many miles on it? Was there any kind of history check? Carfax or anything like that, it sounds to me that it may have possibly been involved in an accident so it's important to check for that as well because if that's the case any warranty would be void.

QUESTION: Yes its been in an accident. You said that the first thing to do is to check the speed sensors, what do you really mean when you say to check the sensor? Do I just unplug them and then plug them in, or something like that. please tell me how to check the speed sensors.

Thanks

Answer
First check to make sure it's connected and there is no wire damgage between the sensor and the body. The sensor resistance can be checked across b oth terminals with the electrical connector off, the resistance should be less than 1ohm, from either terminal to ground should be 10k ohm or more. The best and most reliable way is to check the sensors under actual driving conditions with the diagnostic scsantool connected, the dealer should know how to do this.
