Toyota Repair: 2006 prado auto 4wd v6, fluid temperature, transmission oil

Question
how to check transmission oil level and does the 4wd transfer box oil run into the transmission oil or is it seperate & if so do they use the same grade of oil

Answer
The transmission uses WS type fluid, the transmission has no dipstick, as you probably know, the fluid can be checked by runnung the engine to operating temperature and measuring the transmission fluid temperature with the Toyota techstream diagnostic tool attached, when a specific temperature is reached the check plug on the bottom is removed and checkd to see if fluid trickles out, if not, a small amounts of fluid are added to the transmission through a fill plug until the fluid runs out of the check opening. The transfer case uses regular SAE 75W-85 gear oil.
