Toyota Repair: 92 camry 3.0 transmission R&R, sway bar link, steering rack

Question
I have to replace the automatic transmission in my 92 Camry LE V6. I have an engine hoist, transmission jack, air and hand tools. I do all my own work and have pulled engines and dropped several transmissions but never a fwd. Would it be better/faster to drop the sub frame and just remove the trans out of the bottom or should I pull the engine and trans together from the top. I found instructions to do it both ways but can't find any write ups from anyone that has actually done it. I'm getting to be an old man and need all the help I can get. Thanks in advance.

Answer
What I usually do is to remove the subframe and get it out of the way, the engine has to be supported on top or somehow on the bottom to keep it from falling down, the steering rack can be left connected to the steering shaft, remove the rack mounting bolts after dropping the subframe down a little, remove the sway bar link nuts and move the sway bar all the way up to get to the 19mm rack mounting bolts and just leave the rack hanging. After the subframe is out the transmission will come out the bottom.
