Toyota Repair: 2000 mr2 spyder 5-speed manual, clutch master cylinder, mr2 spyder

Question
QUESTION: A couple of mornings ago I did the usual start the car in neutral to let it roll back down small incline of my driveway.  Car would not roll back upon release of the safety brake, so I tried safety brake again, nothing, finally just put it in reverse, after shifting into first gear and let the floor clutch up the car sort of stops instead of the usual momentum forward.  I was able to back it up in the driveway because something is not right with shifting.  Later that evening tried it again, this time I can't get the gear in reverse, I was trying to force it, but it just grinds when I try.  can however shift to all gears with the engine off.  I check the brake fluid and there is fluid in the reservoir. The car has 84,000 miles, any ideas such, as clutch, master cylinder, cable.  Help Please.  Thanks

ANSWER: Check the clutch master cylinder reservoir under the front hood, let me know if it is empty.

QUESTION: There is fluid in the reservoir not to the max indicator line, but there is fluid in there.  A couple of days after checking for the fluid I check to see if I could get the car in gear, and to my surprise was able to do so.  I took it around the block and it shifted thru the gears as normal.  The vehicle has been parked ever since due to the great amounts of snow fall in the area.  I do however, leave the emergency brake on when parking and have done so since ownership.  Help Please. Thanks

Answer
One of the hydraulic cylinders may be leaking, if not externally it could still be leaking internally, all the flex hoses should also be checked for leakage, themmaster cylinder or the slave cylinder or maybe both could be the problem and may need to be replaced.
