Toyota Repair: coil / igniter 5SFE motor, rotor, cracks

Question
Engine was overheated an bit.  Now has no spark. Have replaced plugs, ignition leads and distributor rotor. suspect now could be coil / igniter after reading your site. Any ideas and where is the coil / igniter.

The coil is built into the distributor, remove the cap and the rotor and the coil cover and inspect the coil for cracks etc, the igniter may be external, follow the wires coming out of the distributor to locate it, I would need to know what year it is to give more information.
