Toyota Repair: Toyota 4 Runner Brake Lights, toyota 4 runner, toyota dealership

Someone on the road just told me today that my brake lights were out on my 2002 Toyota 4 Runner. Neither brake light will light up when the brakes are applied. However, the window brake light works fine and all bulbs are okay. I really could use some help before I spend a couple hundred at the Toyota dealership, get a ticket, or get rammed into. Thanks.

If the  center stop light is working the the circuit up to the rear lights must be ok, the problem is in the back, are you sure the bulbs are ok because it sounds to me that they are the problem, make sure you are checking the right bulbs or just replace them anyway.
